THE 2010 LONDON DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL

Since 1993, the London Dragon Boat Race Festival has held this exciting community event. Great food, interesting cultural displays and arts and crafts accompany the dragon boat racing.

The event is held at beautiful Fanshawe Conservation Area situated to the northeast of London.

$11,359 was raised in 2009 for Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre for a total of $36,572 since 2007.

The winners of this years individual prizes were:
1.     Sharon Taylor (Waves of Fury) $2,097. Sharon won the West Jet prize of a trip for 2 anywhere West Jet flies.
2.     Peter Mellen (Citi Komodos) $1,948.28. Peter won the Via Rail prize of a trip to Ottawa for 2.
3.     Gail Stark (Citi Komodos) $1,777.06. Gail won the Nintendo DS Lite prize package.
4.     Sharon Armstrong (Waves of Fury) $724.00. Sharon won the Grey Owl Dragon Boat paddle.
5.     Brenda Pentland (Waves of Fury) $700.00. Brenda won the Frenchman's Bay Dragon Boat paddle donated by Joanne Geddes.

Citi Komodo's receive a free entry to next year's dragon boat festival!
Waves of Fury receive $200 off and Bob N Along receive $100 off next years festival.

Kids will enjoy our Children's area. Face painting, bubbles, crafts, stories etc.

Pancake Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 11am with real maple syrup!
